How to Check your Colour Results Before a Full Application

LIVE Colour Hair Dye from Schwarzkopf
Want to see the results of your colour choice before committing to a full head dye application? Just follow the steps below. These steps are based on using Schwarzkopf products.

Permanent hair dye:

  1. Your hair should be dry and clean
  2. Take a non-metallic bowl
  3. Find a section of hair roughly 1cm wide at the back of head, underneath the top layers and section the rest of your hair out of the way, leaving the strand easy to access
  4. Undo the nozzle from the developer lotion bottle and pour ½ teaspoon amount of the lotion into the bowl
  5. Securely screw the nozzle back onto the bottle (do not remove the bottle tip at this time)
  6. Take the Colour Cream tube and pierce the foil on the end of the tube with the reverse of the lid
  7. Squeeze ½ teaspoon of Colour Cream into the bowl
  8. Re-seal the Colour Cream tube making sure the lid is firmly closed
  9. Use a non-metallic spoon or tint brush to mix the Colour Cream and Developer Lotion in the bowl
  10. Put on the gloves provided in the Instruction Leaflet
  11. Use a tint brush (or scoop the mixture with your gloved fingers) and apply to the previously sectioned strand
  12. Leave the mixture to develop for the time specified in the Instruction Leaflet (usually 30 – 45 mins)
  13. Rinse the gloves and store them with the rest of your product
