THE HOW-TO OF HAIR COLOURATION

Whether you're a newbie or a regular user, here’s the complete guide and the best tips on how to dye your hair at home to ensure a salon-worthy look.
 
Before you dive into dyeing your hair, you need to make sure you’re picking the right shade for you. If you don’t, it might turn out to be a colour you didn’t quite expect.  Follow the professionally inspired hair dyeing tips below to dye your hair like a pro.

Bleaching your hair at home might seem scary -we all have seen those viral videos with people messing their hair up-  but with LIVE you don't need to worry. For when you simply can't resist giving yourself a fresh look or want to create a blank canvas to use a semi-permanent, follow the step-by-step guide below, and prepare yourself to glow.

STEP 1 MIXING

 - Remove applicator tip from applicator bottle.
 - To open the sachet, cut it along the dotted line.
 - Put the whole content of the Blonde-Booster Ultra Plus Sachet (1) into the bottle.
 - Now open the Lightening Cream Tube (2) by piercing the tube sealing with the reverse side of the cap. 
 - Squeeze the whole content of the tube into the applicator bottle.
 - Replace the application nozzle and shake until all components are thoroughly mixed. 
 - Mixing is complete when the colour is even throughout.

STEP 2 APPLICATION

 - Follow application process for either first-time or root regrowth application.
 - Leave formula to develop for 30-45 minutes.

STEP 3 RINSING

 - Rinse hair under warm water until water runs clear.

STEP 4 CONDITIONING

 - Apply LIVE Care Conditioner and leave in for 3 minutes. 
 - Rinse thoroughly to discover your soft and shiny new hair.

Ready to change up your colour? From bright and bold to cool and refreshing, the semi-permanent colour range from LIVE has something for everyone. Now, to succed on the art of colouring your hair, there are some things you need to know. 

STEP 1 PREPARATION

 - Wash your hair with a mild shampoo and towel dry it.
 - Before applying your colour, cover your clothing with an old towel/cape.

STEP 2 APPLICATION

 - Follow application process for either pastel, full head, dip dye or highlight application. 
 - Leave formula to develop for the recommended time (setting an alarm will help!).

STEP 3 RINSING

 - Rinse hair under warm water until water runs clear.

STEP 4 CONDITIONING

 - Apply LIVE Care Conditioner and leave in for 2 minutes. 
 - Rinse thoroughly, and welcome your soft and shiny hair.

First, you'll need to decide if you want to colour your full head or you are looking for a root touch-up. LIVE permanent hair dyes can be used for both, but the process of hair colouring may be slightly different. The following tips, however, are good for both scenarios. Once you have chosen your shade, here are the steps to colour your hair at home and get jaw-dropping results! 

STEP 1 PREPARATION

 - Always perform an Allergy Alert Test 48 hours before each time you colour, even if you’ve used the product before.
 - Before applying your colour, cover your clothing with an old towel/cape and put on gloves provided.
 - Apply to dry, unwashed hair (yes, the rumours are true!). 

STEP 2 MIXING

 - Unscrew nozzle of Developer Lotion, pierce the LIVE Colour Cream tube and carefully squeeze the entire contents into the Developer Lotion bottle.
 - Replace the application nozzle and shake until all components are thoroughly mixed.

STEP 3 APPLICATION

 - Follow application process for either first-time or root regrowth application.
 - Leave formula to develop for 20-30 minutes.

STEP 4 RINSING

 - Rinse hair under warm water until water runs clear.

STEP 5 CONDITIONING

 - Apply LIVE Care Conditioner and leave in for 2 minutes. 
 - Rinse thoroughly and feel your hair's softness and shine.

Maintaining your colour doesn't need to be complicated. We've put together some easy to follow tips to keep your colour looking fresh and hair feeling healthy. 

STEP 1

Always use a Sulfate Free shampoo. 

STEP 2

Choose products with UV Filters. 

STEP 3

Condition regularly including treatments if needed.

STEP 4

Use all heat appliances on lower temperatures.

STEP 5

For blondes use Silver Shampoo as required.
